Monitorimi i Gjurmës së Karbonit: U prezantua “Kalkulatori i Karbonit”, një mjet inovativ që ndihmon bizneset turistike të monitorojnë dhe reduktojnë emetimet, duke kontribuar direkt në mbrojtjen e mjedisit.

The Durrës County Council continues its active involvement in the European project TOURBO, which held its latest interregional meeting in Donegal, Ireland. This meeting served as a crucial platform for exchanging best practices that integrate environmental sustainability with technological innovation in the tourism sector.

Key Innovations Highlighted:

During the technical sessions and field visits, the focus was centered on two main pillars:

Carbon Footprint Monitoring: The “Carbon Calculator” was presented as an innovative tool that helps tourism businesses monitor and reduce their emissions, contributing directly to environmental protection.
VR Technology and Heritage: The use of Virtual Reality (VR) as a powerful tool to promote cultural heritage sites and encourage “Slow Tourism,” which prioritizes the quality of experience over mass tourism.

Our Goal:

Through the Interreg Europe program, the Durrës County Council aims to adapt these European models into regional policies. This commitment will assist local businesses in increasing their competitiveness in the international market by becoming part of a network that values smart and green tourism.
