Dita e Dytë e Partnership Meeting – Barcelona Metropolitan Area

Dita e dytë e takimit vijoi me vizita teknike në dy prej strehëve klimatike të komunës Cornellà de Llobregat, të cilat janë pjesë e Rrjetit Metropolitane të Climate Shelters. Gjatë vizitave, pjesëmarrësit u njohën nga afër me qasjet praktike për krijimin e hapësirave të sigurta dhe të qëndrueshme gjatë valëve të të nxehtit, si dhe me investimet që po shndërrojnë këto zona në modele referimi për inovacionin klimatik në nivel evropian.

Strehët klimatike të prezantuara demonstruan zgjidhje konkrete të adaptimit si rikualifikimi i hapësirave publike, përdorimi i elementeve natyrorë për uljen e temperaturave dhe implementimi i teknologjive që rrisin komoditetin dhe sigurinë për komunitetin gjatë ngjarjeve ekstreme klimatike.

Takimi Përmbyllës dhe Planifikimi i Fazeve të Ardhshme

Pas vizitave, partnerët u mblodhën në seancën përmbyllëse, ku u diskutuan hapat e ardhshëm të projektit, koordinimi ndërmjet institucioneve pjesëmarrëse dhe pritshmëritë për fazën pasuese të punës. Diskutimet vlerësuan nevojën për harmonizimin e qasjeve strategjike, rritjen e kapaciteteve lokale dhe forcimin e rrjeteve të bashkëpunimit ndër-rajonal.

Atmosfera bashkëpunuese dhe shkëmbimi i përvojave praktike i dhanë këtij sesioni një vlerë të shtuar, duke krijuar bazë të fortë për vazhdimësinë e nismave klimatike në territoret pjesëmarrëse.

Roli i Qarkut Durrës në Rrjetin Ndërkombëtar të Partnerëve

Këshilli i Qarkut Durrës vijoi të kontribuojë në rritjen e vizibilitetit të territorit tonë në nivel ndërkombëtar, duke sjellë perspektiva që mbështesin zhvillimin e qëndrueshëm, reziliencën ndaj klimës dhe shkëmbimin e praktikave të mira midis rajoneve.
Pjesëmarrja aktive e përfaqësuesve tanë theksoi angazhimin për të përshtatur modelet e suksesshme evropiane në territorin e Qarkut Durrës.

Përmbyllja me Angazhim të Përbashkët

Takimi u mbyll me një angazhim të përbashkët për të vijuar punën drejt zbatimit efektiv të masave klimatike dhe forcimit të bashkëpunimit ndër-rajonal. Partnerët riafirmuan synimin e përbashkët për të mbështetur komunitetet ndaj sfidave të valëve të të nxehtit dhe për të promovuar sisteme më të qëndrueshme dhe gjithëpërfshirëse.

Day 2 of the Partnership Meeting – Barcelona Metropolitan Area

The second day of the Partnership Meeting continued with technical visits to two climate shelters in the municipality of Cornellà de Llobregat, both part of the Metropolitan Climate Shelters Network. During these visits, participants were introduced to practical approaches for creating safe and sustainable spaces during heatwaves, as well as to the investments that are transforming these areas into reference models for climate innovation across Europe.

The presented climate shelters showcased concrete adaptation solutions, including the redevelopment of public spaces, the integration of natural elements to reduce temperatures, and the implementation of technologies that enhance comfort and safety for communities during extreme climate events.

Closing Meeting and Planning of Next Steps

Following the field visits, partners convened for the closing session, where they discussed the upcoming steps of the project, coordination mechanisms among participating institutions, and expectations for the next implementation phase. The discussions emphasized the importance of aligning strategic approaches, strengthening local capacities, and reinforcing inter-regional cooperation networks.

The collaborative environment and the exchange of practical experiences added significant value to this session, laying a solid foundation for the continuation of climate-related initiatives across partner territories.

Durres County Council’s Contribution to the International Network

Throughout the day, Durres County Council continued to contribute actively to increasing the visibility of our territory at the international level by sharing perspectives that support sustainable development, climate resilience, and the exchange of best practices among regions.
The active involvement of our representatives reaffirmed our commitment to adapting successful European models to the needs and priorities of Durres County.

Shared Commitment for the Road Ahead

The meeting concluded with a shared commitment to continue working toward the effective implementation of climate measures and the strengthening of inter-regional cooperation. Partners reiterated their common goal to support communities in facing heatwave challenges and to promote more sustainable and inclusive systems.
